This course delivers targeted training on the Coast Guard’s final rule for maritime cybersecurity, addressing the mandatory requirements for U.S.-flagged vessels, Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) facilities, and MTSA-regulated facilities. Learn how to develop and maintain a compliant Cybersecurity Plan, designate a Cybersecurity Officer (CySO), implement technical safeguards, conduct annual cybersecurity assessments, and meet new reporting and training obligations. The curriculum covers legal authority, risk management, incident response, audit procedures, and the operational, legal, and financial impacts of non-compliance, ensuring your organization is fully equipped for regulatory success.
In this course you will learn the following:
* Summarize the purpose, scope, and legal basis of the new cybersecurity regulations.
* Identify which entities and systems are subject to the rule.
* Describe the required technical and procedural account, device, and data security measures.
* Explain the responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Officer (CySO) and the owner/operator.
* Outline the requirements for Cybersecurity Plans, Assessments, Drills, Training, and Incident Reporting.
