Cybersecurity Training, Drills, and Exercises for U.S.-Flagged Vessels and Maritime Facilities
This course equips maritime professionals with the knowledge and tools needed to implement the Coast Guard’s latest cybersecurity regulations for U.S.-flagged vessels, Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) facilities, and Maritime Transportation Security Act (MTSA)-regulated facilities. Learn how to develop and document a compliant cybersecurity training program, conduct required drills and exercises, designate a Cybersecurity Officer, and ensure all personnel—including contractors—are ready to detect and respond to evolving cyber threats. Stay ahead of regulatory deadlines and avoid operational, legal, and financial risks by preparing your organization for Coast Guard inspections and real-world incidents.
In this course you will learn the following:
* Describe the key cybersecurity training, drills, and exercise requirements under the Coast Guard’s final rule.
* Apply the regulatory requirements for personnel training, drills, and exercises to their own maritime operations.
* Develop and document training programs that meet the minimum standards for cybersecurity awareness, detection, and incident response.
* Identify the consequences of non-compliance and the importance of recordkeeping and documentation.
* Implement and oversee ongoing compliance, including annual and periodic training, drills, and exercises, for all relevant personnel and contractors.
NOTE: Unless otherwise indicated, all course purchases are for access to the course for a period of 1-year. At the end of the one year term, the course will be set to “inactive”.
